Burien, a 100-year-old community with a rich heritage, has been busy defining and redesigning itself as a vibrant King County city. The King County Library System is one of the largest circulating libraries in the U.S., with more than 17 million items circulated in 2004. Burien Town Square will house a new 40,000 square foot regional KCLS library to replace the current facility at SW 148th Street and 6th Avenue SW.
